Pebax® polymer is the highest performance thermoplastic used in sports equipment since the 1980s. Widely used in most of the highest performing running shoes, ski boots, and other sports equipment. Our material is extremely lightweight; has super energy return and is incredibly flexible and resilient.
These Nike shoes have one technology in common: the midsole foam is made with Pebax® thermoplastic, which improves cushioning that is not only lightweight and extremely soft but also exceptionally springy. The Alphafly model is considered as the fastest and best marathon shoe racer.
Mizuno's "Wave Rider" shoe range is known for its iconic Wave Plate technology embedded in the foam. This wave plate is made with our Pebax® Rnew® polymer, a bio-based thermoplastic derived from castor beans.
